3.0 Recycling & Waste
The bin store for your building is located just outside the main entrance. The door is secured and to enter you will need to use your fob. To exit use the green push-to-exit button.
Within the bin store are general waste, food waste and recycling waste bins which are easily identifiable. Please ensure that you put the correct waste in the correct bins. Please also ensure that the lids on the paladins are closed to avoid excessive smells being released and that no waste is left on the floors. These areas will be washed down regularly but this will help to avoid any unwanted visitors. These bins will be collected every Monday by the local council.

Recycling
You can recycle paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, food tins, drink cans, aerosols, foil, plastics and now, for the first time, food and drink containers (e.g. Tetra Pak). Please allow space for everyone to recycle by squashing your cardboard boxes, drink cans and plastics bottles. Do not leave any recycling on top or beside the recycling bins, as it makes the area look untidy and it may not be collected for recycling.
A full list of recyclable items is available on the council’s website which can be viewed at:

Electrical Items
Waste electrical and electronic (WEEE) legislation means everyone has a duty to separate and recycle electronic and electrical goods. New electrical and electronic equipment carries a recycling symbol encouraging you to recycle it when the time comes. The store where you bought the items may take back your old product for recycling. Alternatively, you can take it to Foots Cray Reuse and Recycling Centre for disposal, free of charge.
Bulky Items
Residents can arrange to have bulky household items like furniture or large electrical items collected by Bexley Council; please visit the following link for information.
